Summer is coming and is bringing with it, a lot of change. My second major move in as many years and possibly a new career path. I don’t fear change, in fact, I welcome it. I’m tired though, life has been challenging me as of late and my patience with simple things has been tested. I recently said to a friend that “nothing worth it, is ever easy.” I am applying that perspective now to my own life by keeping faith in the process of change and reminding myself that, I’ve always come out on top in the past, even if the road was treacherous.
This scene reminds me of so much of what I love about summer. Everything is alive and existing, thriving even in spite of the glaring sun and the (sometimes) unbearable heat. The kids only come inside long enough to cool off before the summer sun lures them once again to shake off their winter webs and entertain their vivid imaginations. I want to be seduced by summer too, I want to be renewed and inspired by these changes to come.
Yes, change is good.
